Sugar Cookies

While growing up we always made sugar cookies with my mom. Marcie and I ate a whole lot of cookie dough when we thought she wasn't looking. Austin is only 15 mos old and he's already shoveling it into his mouth!

Family Night

Trev put the house together (I hope gingerbread houses aren't like real houses because the roof caved in and the whole thing is about to fall over!) I put the candy on, and Austin ate A WHOLE LOT of sugar. In other words- it was a successful project...

Dancing Bert

We have a book of stories and music for December. We use it every night and Austin loves his mommy and daddy taking turns "cutting in" to dance with him.

Ninteen Weeks, But Who's Counting?

I'm at that stage where you can either show it off or hide it and this belt REALLY made it show!

Still Scared of Santa

I guess a strange man in a red suit and crazy beard should seem scary, right? Austin did not enjoy sitting on Santa's lap but he did like his sugar cookie.

Family Fort

I read on-line that children Autin's age love forts. We put it to the test and he loved it! We luckily had some boxes left in storage from our move. You can never go wrong with boxes...

Santy Claus

We went to Trevor's Aunt Lillian's house in St. Joseph for Thanksgiving. The next day Santa Claus visited. I thought Austin might find Santa strangely familiar but he definitely did not. He did not like being near him at all.

The Children's Museum

Austin had a lot of fun at The Children's Museum with his cousins

Gwen and Easton. There were so many fun activities I couldn't

believe his favorite part was sitting on the toy cars.

My Costume: A Bun in the Oven

Trevor's family flew us home for his brother Kelby's homecoming. We made it just in time for their family Halloween Party and were able to announce our new family addition.

A Picture With Pumpkins

Halloween

Autumn in Nauvoo

We went to Nauvoo for Stake Conference. Afterwards, we met some friends in a park to eat lunch. They have some older children who made a big pile of leaves. Austin was in heaven playing in them all.

Austin and "Dewa"

Austin is crazy about our dog Bella. His first words had everything to do with her. One day Bella wasn't listening very well. I told her to "sit" a little impatiently and I guess it caught his attension. He kept saying "siii". Unfortunately it has sounded like a similar word much of the time. His next word was said while I was throwing a frisbee for Bella in a park. I yelled her name and all of a sudden he was saying it too. I think if I go around shouting he'll be saying all kinds of words in no time. His favorite word right now is "no". It was really cute at first but I think I prefer "Dewa" (Bella). This last week he's started having bursts of frustration too. He yells, stomps his feet, claps his hands and spins in a 360 degree circle. I'm sure an all out tantrum is coming soon.

Spike

At church Austin has been known to a lot of people as "the boy with spikey hair". Trev and I unfortunately buzzed it shortly after this picture was taken but it's getting close to being this crazy again. He still doesn't grow much on the sides :)

Austin Walks

One day I experimented and stood Austin in front of me on the floor. He walked right to me but he would never do it on his own. Trevor was finally home one night so we went on opposite ends of the room and our little guy could walk the whole way. He only needed one of us in front of him.

Sweet Little Suit

Austin is a little man in his little Docker's suit. He looks all grown up!

First Day

Trevor on his first day of medical school. He has now completed his first quarter. We have enjoyed having him home this last week and regret that he's back to it tomorrow. Atleast there will be another break soon. Three weeks and then we will be heading to Utah.

Austin's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Austin's Birthday at a spash park in Herriman. My mom and I made him a fun alligator cake.

Great Grandpa Steadman

Austin with his Great Grandpa Steadman. Its all about the overalls!!! Trevor and I saw these overalls before Austin was born and bought them just for this picture.

Swim Time!!!

Trevor's Graduation

Trevor graduated in Health Promotion and Education with an emphasis in Emergency Medical Services. He was accepted to two D.O. schools (Arizona and Missouri). We felt Missouri so we are now in the Nauvoo Stake.

Easter

Our Little Army Boy

By the time we found out Austin had really bad reflux he also had a kinked neck and a flat head. We took him to Physical Therapy for months but he still ended up with a helmet. It was actually really adorable...
